영양플러스사업은 영양상태가 취약한 임산부, 영·유아를 대상으로 영양문제를 극복하기 위해 보충식품 패키지를 각 가정에 지원하고, 영양상태에 따라 필요한 영양교육 및 영양상담을 진행해 직접 식생활 관리 능력을 배양할 수 있도록 진행하는 사업이라고 했다.

대상자는 의정부시에 주소를 둔 기준중위소득 65% 미만의 임산부, 출산·수유부나 66개월 미만 영·유아 중 빈혈, 저체중, 성장부진 등의 영양위험요인을 보유하고 있는 가정이라고 했다.

신청 후 대상자로 선정되면 최소 6개월 이상, 영양 상담 제공과 동시에 개인 영양에 맞는 보충식품 패키지가 제공되며, 기타 문의사항은 의정부시보건소 건강증진과 모자보건팀으로 하면 자세한 안내를 받을 수 있다고 전했다.
