의정부시보건소는 전국 보건소 최초로 자체 방송 스튜디오인 ‘U-Health live’스튜디오를 구축해 코로나19 상황 속에서도 장애인을 대상으로 비대면 건강관리 사업을 시행했다고 했다.

실시간으로 진행되는 줌라이브 방송을 통해 운동교실을 진행하고 재활공예 수업 등을 운영했으며, U-Health live 홈페이지를 통한 교육자료와 강의 영상을 제공함으로써 언제, 어디서, 누구나 장애인 건강관리에 도움을 주고자 최선을 다했고, 의정부시 고유 제작 콘텐츠인 뇌졸중 예방 동영상을 제작해 지역사회 주민들의 장애 발생 예방 홍보 및 인식 개선을 유도했다고 했다.

장연국 의정부시보건소장은 “앞으로도 지속적인 교육 및 다양한 프로그램을 통해 의정부시 장애인들의 건강생활 실천과 건강증진 도모에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
