[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 소년소녀합창단이 핀란드에서 열린 장 시벨리우스 ON-LINE 합창 콘테스트에서 3위에 입상하는 쾌거를 이루어냈다고 밝혔다.

대회는 핀란드 국제합창조직위가 주관하고 러시아 작곡가 연합이 후원하는 2021 국제 합창경연대회로, 지난달 11일부터 15일까지 세계 각국의 16개 단체가 어린이합창 부문에 출전했으며, 가평군 소년소녀 합창단은 3위에 입상하는 영예를 안았고, 이에 합창단은 지난 18일 창단 제 9주년 기념식을 갖고 가평의 음악 꿈나무들이 세계의 무대에서도 인정받는 훌륭한 역할을 해내어 창단 9주년을 맞아 이를 기념하고 격려하는 자리를 가졌다고 전했다. 

이번 경연은 코로나 상황으로 인해 ON-LINE으로 이루어 졌으며, 연주 중 효과를 사용하거나 보컬의 가공이나 영상의 편집 등이 허용되지 않고, 하나의 연속 테이크로 촬영된 녹화본 만이 허용되는 등 규약과 조건이 까다로웠다고 알려져있다고 했다.

한편, 가평군 소년소녀합창단은 지난 2012년 7월 창단해 서울예술의전당무대에 3회, 롯데 콘서트홀 3회, KBS연주홀 2회등 국내 규모 있는 연주홀에서의 초청연주와 페스티벌 등에 참여한 역량 있는 합창단으로 정평이 나있으며, 지난 2019년에는 뉴욕 카네기 아이작스턴홀에서 연주한 경력을 자랑하는 합창단이라고 했다.
