[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 6일 동두천시 탑동상여회다지보존회가 동두천시 국민체육센터 야구장에서 제23회 경기도 민속예술제 행사에 참가했다고 밝혔다.

이번 민속예술제는 경기도문화원연합회가 주최하고 경기도, 경기도의회가 후원하는 행사로 지역의 전통문화 보존과 부흥을 위한 역사가 깊은 지역 축제라고 했다.

올 민속예술제는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 각 지역을 순회하며 현장 경연대회로 진행됐고, 동두천시를 대표하여 ‘탑동상여회다지소리 보존회’가 출전하여 경연 시연을 펼쳤다고 전했다.

이날 행사에는 특별히 동두천시장, 동두천시의장, 시의원 등 지역 내 많은 내빈들이 참석했으며, 최용덕 동두천시장은 인사말을 통해 “우리의 전통문화는 보존하고 계승되어야 한다”며 “이번 경연을 위해 구슬땀을 흘린 탑동상여회다지소리보존회에 깊은 감사를 전하고 멀리서 이번 심사에 참석해 주신 심사위원에게도 감사를 드린다”고 밝혔다.
