이번 공유재산 사용‧대부료 감면 연장은 코로나19의 급속한 확산세로 인한 사회적 거리두기 4단계 격상에 따라 소상공인의 경영 안정과 지역경제 회복을 도모하기 위한 조치라고 했다.

양주시는 올 상반기에 코로나19로 피해를 입은 소상공인을 대상으로 공유재산을 사용하지 못했을 경우 사용·대부료를 100% 감면하거나 기간 연장 조치를 했으며 사용한 경우에는 임대요율을 1%로 일괄 적용, 사용·대부료의 80%를 감경해 총 1,200여만원을 감면한 바 있다고 전했다.

양주시는 오는 7월 중 공유재산심의회 심의를 거쳐 세부 지원방안을 확정하고 8월 중 지원 대상자들에게 안내공문을 발송해 이미 납부된 사용·대부료는 환급하거나 대부 기간을 연장하고 미부과 사용·대부료는 감경된 금액으로 재산정해 부과할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

양주시 관계자는 “코로나19 4차 대유행 위기에 직면한 상황 속에서 벼랑 끝에 내몰린 영세 소상공인의 어려움을 조금이라도 덜기 위해 감면제도를 연장하기로 결정했다”며 “공유재산 사용·대부료 감경을 통해 경제적 어려움을 극복하고 경영 여건이 개선되는 발판이 마련되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
