[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 23일 양주시 회천3동은 운영 재개한 경로당과 노인활용쉼터 등 14개소를 방문해 어르신들을 위문하고 방역지침 준수를 당부했다고 밝혔다. 

양주시는 코로나19 예방접종 진행에 따라 1차 접종을 하고 항체 형성 기간인 2주가 지난 어르신에 한해 평일 오후 1시부터 5시까지 제한적으로 경로당 운영을 재개하기로 했다고 전했다.  

이에 회천3동에서는 어르신들의 건강하고 안전한 여가생활 지원을 위해 관내 기업 영석건설에서 후원한 백미 전달과 함께 애로사항을 청취하며 코로나19로 지친 어르신들을 위로하고 격려했다고 했다. 

이점봉 회천3동 분회경로당 회장은 “장기간 지속된 코로나19로 인해 지쳐있던 회원들을 다시 만나니 일상이 회복되는 듯해 기쁘다”며 “방역수칙을 준수하면서 건강한 경로당 생활이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

박혜련 동장은 “어르신들의 코로나19 백신 접종이 순차적으로 완료 예정이지만 감염병이 종식될 때까지 방심하지 마시고 예방수칙을 철저히 지켜주길 바란다”고 당부했다.
