[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 21일과 25일 포천시 청소년교육문화센터 방과후아카데미 아름드리는 6월 호국보훈의 달을 기념해 ‘찾아가는 수련교육 및 한반도 통일교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

경기도 학생교육원(포천학생야영장), 한반도통일미래센터와 연계하여 진행된 이번 특별지원활동은 숲밧줄, 3D코딩메이커, 코딩로봇수업 등의 체험활동과 통일골든벨, 통일달력만들기를 통해 청소년들이 통일에 대한 건강한 지식을 습득하고, 통일 후의 미래 주역의 역할을 인지시켰다고 했다.

이번 교육에 참가한 중학교 1~3학년(53명) 방과후아카데미 아름드리 학생들은 “코로나로 인해 활동이 어려워 답답했었는데 밧줄을 이용해 다양한 신체활동을 할 수 있어 좋았고, 북한에 대해 몰랐던 지식을 알게 되며 조금이나마 이해할 수 있는 시간이 되었다.”라는 소감과 만족감을 나타냈다.

청소년방과후아카데미는 여성가족부와 포천시에서 청소년 수련시설을 기반으로 방과 후 돌봄이 필요한 청소년의 자립역량을 개발하고 건강한 성장을 지원하는 국가정책지원 사업으로, 포천시청소년교육문화센터 방과후아카데미 ‘아름드리’는 중학교 1~3학년을 대상으로 3개 반을 운영하고 있다고 했다.
