[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 28일 북부지방산림청은 금년도 신규사업인 산불예방 숲가꾸기 사업시행 지침 현장 적용을 위해 각 국유림관리소 숲가꾸기 담당자와 산림기술사 등 30명이 참석한 가운데 교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 교육은 홍천국유림관리소 대회의실에서 산불예방 숲가꾸기 사업시행지침 이론교육 후 사업 대상지에서 현장교육을 진행했다고 전했다. 

산불예방 숲가꾸기 사업은 임지 내 인화물질을 사전에 제거하여 대형산불로 확산하는 것을 예방하고 관리하는 것을 목표로 하고, 사업 대상지는 산불취약지역 A, B등급 위주로 실행하며 해당 등급에 해당하지 않더라도 산불발생 위험이 높은 농경지, 임도변 등 인접 침엽수림 대상으로 추진한다고 했다.

북부지방산림청 국유림관리소 숲가꾸기 담당자가 다른 부서에 비해 비교적 신규직원 비율이 높아 지속적인 교육을 진행하고 있다고 관계자는 밝혔으며, 주요 내용은 업무 난이도가 높아 사업 추진에 애로사항이 많은 부문 위주로 교육한다고 했다. 

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “산불취약지역에 산불예방 숲가꾸기 사업을 통해 산림재해에 강한 숲을 만들어 국민안전 강화에 적극 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
