이날 창수면 부녀회원 11명 등은 마을별 방치된 헌 옷가지와 이불, 가방, 신발 등을 수거했다. 수거한 옷을 재활용업체에 판매해 발생한 수익금으로 홀몸 어르신과 어려운 이웃을 위한 밑반찬 나눔 봉사 등에 사용될 예정이라고 했다.

창수면 부녀회장은 “마을주민들과 창수면 새마을부녀회가 한마음으로 합심하여 집에서 버려질 헌 옷을 수거하여 판매한 수익금으로 어려운 이웃을 돕고 더불어 환경보호를 실천할 수 있어 기쁘다.”라고 말했다고 한다.
