[김현우 기자 = 속초] 속초시가 일반음식점 중 위생관리상태 등이 우수한 업소를 ‘모범음식점’으로 지정해 시 대표 음식점으로 집중 관리해 오고 있는 가운데, 시 승격 60주년을 맞는 2023년도에는 위생·서비스 우수업소를 전년 대비  4개소 증가된 90곳을 선정했다고 7일 밝혔다.

지정 요건은 음식문화개선, 영업장 위생 수준, 서비스, 맛, 좋은 식단 이행 등 세부지정 기준을 충족하는 업소로 관련 규정에 따라 전체 음식점의 5% 이내에서 지정하였으며, 지난해 12월 음식문화개선운동 속초시추진위원회와 함께 철저한 평가를 거쳐 기존 지정업소 75개소와 신규 지정업소 15개소 등 총 90개소를 지정했다.

속초시는 모범음식점으로 지정된 업소에 모범음식점 표지판 및 지정증 교부와 함께 분기별로 쓰레기종량제봉투 30매(50L)를 지원하며, 특히 시 승격 60주년을 맞이하여 상ㆍ하수도사용요금 지원을 그간 월 사용요금의 20%에서 30%로(최대 20만 원 범위) 확대 지원할 방침이다.

그 외 남은 음식 포장용기와 영업시설 개선자금 우선 융자 등의 다양한 인센티브도 부여하여 모범음식점 발굴육성을 단계적으로 확대해 나간다는 방침이다.
