군은 동계훈련센터가 건립되고 나면, 국내에서는 진천 선수촌이 국가대표의 하계 종합훈련원으로, 평창동계훈련센터는 동계종목 선수들의 종합훈련장으로 자리를 잡을 것으로 기대하고 있다고 했다.
