[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 26일부터, 양양군은 양양 남대천 수상레포츠 체험센터 수상레저기구의 운영을 시작한다고 밝혔다. 

최근 수상레저 활동의 수요가 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 가운데 서핑 외에 수상레저를 즐길 수 있는 환경이 조성되어 있지 않아 그 필요성이 꾸준히 제기되어 왔고, 이에 군은 날씨가 따뜻해지는 봄을 맞아 수상레포츠 체험센터의 본격 운영을 통해 남대천에서의 수상레저 활동 저변을 확대하고, 군의 새로운 관광아이템으로 자리매김 할 것으로 기대하고 있다고 전했다.

남대천 수상레포츠 체험센터는 황포돛배를 비롯하여 전통조각배와 러블리 보트, 투명보트 등을 이용 할 수 있으며, 아름다운 남대천 자연경관을 둘러보며 감상할 수 있다고 했다.

수상레저기구는 샛강형 수로 1.2㎞를 포함한 총연장 2.9㎞를 따라 샛강과 본류를 순환하면서, 하천 생태체험과 레저관광을 겸할 수 있게 되며, 또한 수상레포츠 체험센터 2층에는 지난해 12월 오픈한 카페를 운영중에 있어 따뜻한 차와 함께 또 다른 남대천의 감성을 느낄 수 있는 공간도 마련돼 있다고 했다.

수상레저기구 이용요금은 황포돛배 섬들나루호는 30분이용 기준 어린이 4천원, 청소년 6천원, 성인 8천원이며, 전통조각배는1만 1천원, 전통보트는 2만원이라고 전했다.
