[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 내달 6일까지 태백시는 온실가스 감축과 저탄소 생활실천 확산을 위해 자동차 탄소포인트제 참여자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.

자동차 탄소포인트제는 운전자가 자동차 주행거리를 줄여 온실가스 감축에 기여했을 경우 인센티브를 제공하는 온실가스 감축 실천 프로그램으로 실적에 따라 2만원에서 최대 10만원까지 지급된다고 했다.

참여 대상은 비사업용 승용·승합(12인승 이하)차량으로, 법인 소유, 사업용 및 친환경차량은 제외된다고 전했다.

가입을 희망하는 자는 탄소포인트제 홈페이지 에 차량 번호판 사진, 계기판 사진, 등록원부 사본 등을 올려 신청하면 되고, 기타 자세한 사항은 한국환경공단 온실가스통계부 또는 태백시청 환경과 환경정책팀으로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

태백시 관계자 “건강한 생활환경 조성을 위해서는 생활속 탄소중립 실천이중요하다”며 “온실가스를 감축하기 위해 시행되는 자동차 탄소포인트제에 시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
