이에 따라 올해부터 태어나는 모든 아이에게 첫만남이용권 2백만원을,  0~1살 영아를 둔 양육가정에는 월 30만 원의 영아수당을 지급하고, 육아기본수당은 40만원에서 10만원 상향된 50만원을 지원하며, 아동수당 지급대상도 만 7세 미만에서 만 8세 미만 아동으로 확대하고, 첫째아 이상 모든 출생아를 대상으로 지원하는 출산장려금은 그대로 유지해 첫만남이용권과 함께 지원한다고 했다.

또한 속초신협과 2021년도에 업무 협약하여 지원해 온 출생축하금(평생어부바적금, 10만원 지원)도 지속적으로 지원하고, 아울러, 1월 5일부터 온라인(복지로, 정부24)을 통해 첫만남이용권과 영아수당을 신청할 수 있다고 했다.

속초시 관계자는“영아기 집중투자사업으로 출산ㆍ양육에 어려움을 겪고 있는 가정에 조금이라도 힘이 될 수 있기를 기대하며, ‘아이 낳고 키우기 좋은 도시, 아이와 부모에게 힘이 되는 행복도시 속초’가 되도록 지속해서 노력해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
