[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 21일, (협)화신촌사람들은 장성동행정복지센터에서 ‘취약계층 지원을 위한 백미10㎏, 20포 기탁식’ 행사를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 지난 15일 화신촌사람들 사무실 개소식 행사시 축하 화환대신 쌀 화환으로 접수된 양곡을 코로나19 장기화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 취약계층에 따뜻한 위로가 될 수 있도록 장성동행정복지센터에 전달했고, 이날 기탁된 물품은 장성지역 취약계층 20세대에 배부될 예정이라고 전했다.

이성근 이사장은 “지역 사각지대에 놓인 어려운 이웃을 위해 작지만 나눔문화를 활성화 하자는 취지에 이번 행사를 기획했다”며 “화신촌사람들은 지역사회의 어려운 이웃에게 한 걸음 더 다가가는 계기를 만들어 지역 화합을 위한 협동조합의 역할을 다하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

강점희 장성동장은 “코로나 19로 어려운 시기에 물품을 기탁해 주신 화신촌사람들에게 감사의 말씀을 전하며, 관내 어려운 취약계층 지원사업을 지속적으로 추진하여 따뜻한 이웃의 정과 사랑 나눔이 확산되어 더 살기 좋은 장성동이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
