[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 2022년 특수상황지역 개발사업으로 선정 된 '화진포 해양누리길' 조성사업 기본 및 실시설계 용역을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

우리나라 최북단 관광지인 고성군 화진포 일대에 조성되는 해양누리길 은 총 115억(국비 92억원, 군비 23억)이 투자되는 사업으로 김일성 별장에서 거진 해안도로를 연결하는 길이 2.5㎞(폭 2.5m, 높이 7～10m)로 동해안 최장 해상도보길로 해안데크와 부대시설을 갖추고 2025년 개통을 목표로 추진된다고 했다.

군은 기본 및 실시설계용역비 7억원을 확보하여 지난 1월 11일 조달청에 계약의뢰 하였으며 8개월간의 용역기간을 갖게 추진하며 용역보고서에는 사업대상지에 대한 구간별 조성계획안, 시설물의 규모, 적용공법, 경제성 등을 비교 검토하고 종합적인 해양누리길 조성 방안을 제시 하게된다고 전했다. 

함명준 고성군수는 “동해북부선의 화진포역과 제진역이 들어오면 관광객이 늘어날 것으로 예상되며 거진~화진포~대진 연결의 구심점 역할을 할 해안 걷기길로 명성을 얻을 것”이라고 말했다.
