‘2022년 평생학습 동아리 활성화 지원 사업’은 자발적으로 조직된 관내 평생학습 동아리 발굴·육성을 통한 자율적 평생학습 문화 확산을 위해 평생학습 동아리 활동비를 지원하는 사업으로, 평생학습 동아리 대표자가 사업공모에 신청하여 선정되면 동아리 학습활동 및 사회활동을 위한 강사료, 교재비, 인쇄비, 재료비 등을 지원받을 수 있다고 했다.

사업대상은 동두천시 평생교육원에 등록된 동아리로 관내 시민들로 구성된 6명 이상의 동아리 25개 내외를 선정할 예정이고, 지원 금액은 각 동아리별 120만원 내외로 지원 예정이라고 전했다.
