[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시 옥정종합사회복지관은 지역 어르신들의 평생학습을 지원하기 위한 ‘창창한 마을대학’ 사업을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

‘창창한 마을대학’은 어르신들이 건강하게 여가시간을 선용할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 것에서부터 시작하여 배움을 통해 인생의 새로운 목표를 찾는데 도움을 주는 것을 목적으로 운영될 예정이라고 했다. 

프로그램은 어르신들의 신체활동을 독려해 건강한 노후를 지원하기 위한 생활체조와 문해 능력의 부족으로 일상생활에 불편함을 겪는 어르신들을 대상으로 진행되는 한글교실로 첫해 마을대학 수업으로 구성됐다고 전했다.

정기 프로그램을 비롯해 양주시정신건강복지센터, 양주경찰서 등 지역의 다양한 전문기관과 자원봉사단체인 여성의용소방대를 연계하여 치매예방교육, 소방안전교육, 보이스 피싱 예방교육 등 건강하고 안전한 노후를 영위하기 위한 생활안전 교육을 분기별로 실시할 계획이고, 수업은 방역 수칙과 거리두기를 준수하며 대면진행을 원칙으로 하되 코로나19 상황 변화에 따라 비대면 형태로 전환하여 수업할 수 있도록 준비되어 있다고 했다.  

채정선 관장은 “시대가 빠르게 변화함에 따라서 MZ세대뿐만 아니라 어르신들 또한 생활양식과 추구하는 삶의 방식이 다양화되어가고 있다”며 “관내에서 운영되고 있는 프로그램들이 모든 어르신의 욕구를 충족시키기에는 인프라가 부족한 상황이기 때문에 이번 ‘창창한 마을대학’의 운영을 통해서 보다 적극적으로 어르신 친화적인 복지사업을 펼치기 위한 기반을 마련하고자 한다”며 복지관의 운영방향에 대한 계획을 전했다.
