[김택곤 기자=영월군] 영월군이 평생학습의 기틀을 마련하기 위한 영월아카데미 운영을 본격적으로 추진할 계획이다.

영월아카데미는 평소 명사를 접할 기회가 적은 군민들을 대상으로 다양한 분야의 새로운 지식과 정보 제공으로 군민들의 문화욕구 충족 및 다양한 인문학적 소양을 기를 기회를 제공하고자 운영된다.

영월군은 영월아카데미 위탁운영 적격자를 선정하기 위한 심의위원회를 개최하는 등 본격 운영을 위한 준비를 마쳤다.

영월아카데미는 3월부터 12월까지 운영될 계획으로 단계적 일상회복에 맞춰 대면교육으로 운영되며, 코로나19 상황에 따라 대면·비대면교육 병행 등 탄력적으로 운영될 계획이다.

군 관계자는 “영월아카데미는 수준 높고 풍부한 교육 제공으로 군민들의 문화적 소양 함양을 위해 다양한 분야의 명사들을 만나는 좋은 기회를 제공하게 될 것이다.”라고 전했다.
