외국인 계절근로자 주거환경 개선 사업은 양구군이 외국인 계절근로자를 도입한 농가 중 5개소를 대상으로 군비 2500만 원과 자부담 2500만 원 등 총 5천만 원의 사업비를 투입해 주거환경을 개선하는 사업이며, 사업을 통해 양구군은 외국인 계절근로자들의 거주 공간에 대해 외벽 도색, 차광 및 비가림시설 시공, 도배 및 장판 교체, 에어컨 설치 등을 실시했다고 전했다.

지난 2018년부터 매년 이 사업을 추진해오고 있는 양구군은 올해까지 15농가에 대해 주거환경 개선을 지원했다고 말했다.
