[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 23일, (재)평창장학회는 제4차 이사회를 개최하여 2022년 세입·세출예산(안) 및 평창장학회 장학금 지급규정 개정(안) 등 3건을 심의·의결하였다고 밝혔다. 

특히 이날 이사회에서는 '평창장학회 장학금 지급규정'을 개정하여 1학기에만 지급하던 대학생 장학금을 1·2학기 모두 지급하기로 결정하였으며, (재)평창장학회는 올해 초 대학생 장학금에 대해 등록금 범위 내 타장학금과 중복지원을 허용하고, 타장학금 수급액을 제외한 등록금 ‘실납부액 전액’을 지급하도록 하고, 성적기준을 하향 조정하는 등 수혜 폭을 대폭 확대한 바 있다고 했다.

평창장학회 관계자는 “내년에는 각 학기마다 장학금 신청·접수를 받아 자격을 갖춘 대학생들에게 대학교 등록금 ‘실납부액 전액’을 지급할 계획이다.”라며, “평창군민의 자녀라면 등록금 걱정 없이 학업에 정진하여 우리 지역을 이끌어갈 훌륭한 인재로 성장하기를 바란다.”고 지급 규정 변경 취지를 밝혔다.
