[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시의회는 실효성 있는 정책개발과 전문적인 입법활동을 위해 올해 5개 연구단체를 구성·운영하고 있으며, 7월과 8월에 걸쳐 연구용역 중간보고회를 완료했다고 밝혔다. 

올해 운영하는 연구단체는 총 5개 단체로 지방행정 연구회(최정희, 오범구, 김정겸 의원), 체육 행정·복지 연구회(김연균, 정선희, 김영숙 의원), 태권도 공연·문화콘텐츠 연구회(구구회, 조금석, 박순자, 김현주, 임호석 의원), 숲체험 및 산림 치유 활성화를 위한 연구회(안지찬, 이계옥 의원), 향토문화 연구회(임호석, 구구회, 조금석, 박순자, 김현주 의원) 이라고 했다. 

각 연구단체는 중간보고회를 통해 그 동안의 용역 추진상황을 점검하고 심도 깊은 토론의 시간을 가졌으며, 특히 이번 보고회에서는 전문연구원과 함께 타 지역의 우수한 현장을 방문하고 벤치마킹한 결과에 대해 의견을 나누는 등 보다 심층적이고 열정적인 연구활동을 추진했다고 했다.

오범구 의장은“의원들의 적극적인 연구 활동이 정책개발과 지역발전에 큰 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 보고, 완성도 있는 연구 결과를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

의원연구단체 활동은 연말까지 지속되며, 오는 11월 최종보고회를 통해 정책 개선방안 및 조례 제․개정 등 결과를 도출할 예정이라고 전했다.
