[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도가 청년창업을 통해 청년들의 도내 정착을 유도하기 위해 금년도부터 야심차게 시작했던 「강원 로컬벤처기업」의 성공 운영 지원을 위해 펀드(투자조합)를 조성한다고 밝혔다. 

이를 위해 강원창조경제혁신센터, ㈜소풍벤처스와 펀드(투자조합)를 조성·운영하며, 이번에 조성될 펀드(조합명 : 임팩트 그로우<Impact Growth> 투자조합)는 1단계로, 올해 20억 원 규모로 조성하고,  2단계로 내년 상반기 내 20억 원을 추가 확보하여 총 40억 원 규모라고 했다. 

현재까지 확보된 투자금 20억 원은 道 10억 원, ㈜소풍벤처스와 민간 투자자 등이 10억 원을 투자한 것으로, 오는 12월 21일 투자조합 결성총회(비대면)를 개최, 연내 투자조합 등록을 마무리하여 내년부터 본격적으로 운용할 계획이라고 했다. 

추가로 확보할 투자금 20억 원은 현재 2~3개 민간기업과 출자협의를 진행 중으로 기업 내에서 출자심의가 긍정적으로 검토되고 있다고 전했다.

펀드 운용은 강원도 소재 유일한 전문투자사인 ㈜소풍벤처스가 맡게 되며, 道가 출자한 금액(10억 원)의 2배인 최소 20억 원 이상을 도내 로컬벤처기업에 집중 투자할 예정이라고 했다. 

그동안 도내 투자생태계가 기술기반 기업 위주로 조성되어 있어 로컬벤처기업은 상대적으로 투자에서 소외되었는데 이번에 조성되는 펀드로 로컬벤처기업에 투자금의 물꼬가 트이고 강원도 대표 브랜드 기업으로 거듭날 수 있는 기회의 문이 열리게 될 것으로 기대가 된다고 했다. 

로컬벤처기업 이외에도, 스마트농업, 그린바이오 등 중소·벤처기업에도 투자할 계획으로, 도내 농식품 신산업 분야의 창업 기업에게도 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대되고, 조성된 투자금은 신속하게 집행되어 로컬벤처기업의 자금난을 빠르게 해소할 계획이라고 했다. 

내년 1월부터 공격적으로 투자해 2년 이내에 투자금의 80% 이상을 기업에게 투자할 계획이며, 특히, 강원 로컬벤처기업 등 도내 기업에 최대한 많은 투자가 실행될 수 있도록 우수 로컬벤처기업 발굴 등 강원도-창조센터-(주)소풍벤처스 간 긴밀한 협업체계를 구축해 나갈 계획이라고 했다.

백창석 강원도 일자리국장은 “이번에 조성되는 펀드가 자금부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 도내 로컬벤처기업에 단비가 될 것이다”며 “도내 많은 로컬벤처기업이 지역 대표기업으로 성장해 양질의 일자리를 공급함으로서 청년들의 도내 정착을 유도하겠다”고 말했다.
