[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 13일 오전 6시부터 가평읍 주민자치위원회 위원들이 가평읍 6.25 반공산악대원전적비와 나눔의 동산에서 환경정화 봉사활동을 실시하였다고 밝혔다.

이날 환경정화활동에는 가평읍 주민자치위원 10여명이 참석하였으며 전적비와 나눔의 동산 주변 쓰레기를 치우고 미관을 해치는 잡풀을 제거하는 작업을 하였다고 했다. 

김석구 주민자치위원장은 “자라섬 남도 꽃 정원 개방에 따라 가평군을 방문하는 방문객과 지역주민들에게 쾌적한 환경을 제공하기 환경정화 봉사활동을 실시하게 됐으며 앞으로도 가평읍의 발전을 위해 노력하겠다.”고 말했다. 

장동선 가평읍장은 “제법 쌀쌀해진 날씨에도 불구하고 이른 아침부터 가평읍을 위해 고생해주신 주민자치위원들에게 감사드린다.”고 말했다.
