이 활동은 민간단체의 자율참여를 위해 각 읍면 간 협약식을 갖고 체계적인 사업을 진행해 나가고 있으며 현재까지 20여개 단체가 동참하여 주요 도로변 및 하천변 등 꽃길, 꽃동산 만들기 지정구역에서 계절 꽃묘를 심어 단체 간 사명감과 협동심을 배양하고 스스로 각 읍면을 꽃마을 이미지로 변화시켜 성취감도 향상시킬 것으로 기대된다고 했다.

이에 가평읍행정복지센터 장동선 읍장은“봄을 맞이하여 가평주민들에게 깨끗한 풍경을 제공함으로써 코로나19의 장기화로 지친 마음에 작은 위로가 될 수 있기를 바란다.”고 전했다.
