[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8월 25일부터 동두천시는 얀센백신 지자체 자율접종에 따라 30세 이상 중 2회 접종 완료가 어렵거나 방역상황을 고려하여 조기 접종완료가 필요한 미등록 외국인을 대상으로 얀센 백신 접종을 시작하였고, 30세 미만 대상자에 대해서는 화이자 백신 접종을 시행하고 있다고 밝혔다. 

시에 따르면 미등록 외국인을 대상으로 한 얀센 백신은 총 200바이알(1,000명)을 배정 받았고, 추가 160바이알(800명)을 신청 중에 있으며, 백신 소진 시까지 접종이 시행되며, 이번 접종은 미등록 외국인이 여권 등 본인 확인이 가능한 서류를 지참하여 코로나19 예방접종센터로 방문하면 임시 관리번호 부여 및 현장등록을 통해 접종 받을 수 있다고 했다. 

한편, 시는 지난 8월 27일 기준으로 미등록 외국인에 대하여 얀센 389명, 화이자 217명을 접종했다고 했다.

최용덕 동두천시장은 “미등록 외국인 예방접종을 받아도 단속이나 출국 조치와 같은 불이익이 전혀 없으니 접종에 적극적으로 참여해달라”고 당부하는 한편, “감염병 확산 차단에 최선을 다하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
