[장선희 기자= 경기북부] 포천시는 지난 25일부터 26일까지 봄철 출산기를 앞둔 야생멧돼지 폐사체 집중수색을 실시 했다고 한다. 

이번 수색은 아프리카돼지열병(ASF) 확산방지를 위한 것으로 환경부 소속 폐사체수색팀과 포천시 공무원 등 총 50여 명이 참여했다고 한다.

야생멧돼지 출몰이 잦은 창수면(주원리, 추동리), 일동면(수입리), 신북면(덕둔리) 일대를 집중 수색했으나 야생멧돼지 폐사체는 발견되지 않았다고 한다.

시 관계자는 “4월~5월은 야생멧돼지 출산시기로 개체수가 급증한다. 민․관의 협력을 통한 포획을 강화해 ASF 확산차단에 최선을 다하겠다.”고  말했다. 

한편, 시는 현재까지 폐사체수색반에서 발견한 60여건을 야생멧돼지 폐사체 중 42건이 양성개체인 것으로 확인되었다고 밝혔다.
