[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 지난 4일 경기도에서 2025년 ~ 2026년 경기도종합체육대회 유치신청 공고함에 따라 '경기도종합체육대회 유치추진단' 출범한다고 5일 밝혔다.

부군수를 추진단장으로 경제산업국장이 부단장을 맡은 가운데 문화체육과장이 총괄운영반을 맡고, 기획감사담당관, 자치행정과, 관광과, 허가민원과 등 지원부서와 가평군 체육회 및 가평군장애인체육회 등으로 구성하여 대회유치에 만전을 기한다는 전략이다.

유치추진단은 대회 개최계획서 작성, 경기도 현장실사 대응, 개최지 선정이 예상되는 금년 4월말까지 운영하게 되며, 행정과 지역주민이 대회유치를 희망하는 다양한 유치활동을 체계적으로 펼쳐 나갈 예정이다.
