[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시는 매서운 한파 속 거센 너울성 파도가 휩쓴 성탄절 연휴 기간 5개항에 정박한 어선이 전복되는 등 피해가 발생해 26일 관련 긴급복구 작업을 이어가고 있다.

삼척시 재난안전과에 따르면 동해안 중부 앞바다에 풍랑주의보가 내려진 지난 24일 너울성 파도가 해안가를 덮쳐 대진항, 궁촌항, 초곡항, 갈남항 등 4개 항에 정박 중인 어선 1척이 침몰하고 2척 전복, 10척 파손 등 13척의 피해가 났다고 밝혔다.

침몰 어선은 인양이 완료됐고 폐선할 예정이다. 전복 어선 2척 중 1척은 인양을 했고 나머지 1척은 인양 할 예정이지만, 보험에 가입한 어선은 13척 가운데 3척으로 어민 피해가 커질 것으로 예상된다.

또한, 대진항 수산물 저온저장 시설 유리창과 창틀이 파손되고, 용화해변 인근 난간과 촛대바위길 산책로가 손상되는 등 도로, 항구, 해수욕장에서 피해가 잇따랐다.

시는 어선들을 인양하거나 폐선하는 등 조치하고, 덕산항과 장호항 일대 도로와 마을안길 등에서 도로 응급복구에 나섰고 굴착기, 살수차 등을 투입해 모래, 해양 쓰레기 등을 제거하고 있다.

삼척시는 추가 피해 여부와 어선, 어구, 해양쓰레기 등 피해여부를 상황 해제시 까지 조사하고, 촛대바위길 산책로 정밀점검 및 보수공사를 2023년 1월말까지 추진한다는 방침이다.
