[김준호 기자=태백시] (사)한국진폐재해재가환자협회는 지난 7일 강원 태백문화예술회관에서 한동구 태백부시장, 김경수 한국진폐재해자협회장, 고재창 태백시의회 의원 외 회원 등 300여 명이 참석한 가운데제17차 정기총회를 가졌다.

한동구 태백부시장은 축사를 통해  “눈부신 경제발전은 우리나라 산업화와 여러분들의 희생과 헌신이 있었기에 가능했다”며 “수 십년간 석탄먼지와 사투하며 진폐라는 직업병을 안고 고통을 받고 계신 여러분들의 권익증진과 복지향상에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.

황상덕 회장은 “정부는 광산순직자를 국가차원의 산업유공자로 인정해 산업전사 위령제 역시 국가단위 행사로 격상해 그 뜻을 기려야 한다”고 말했다.
