[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 코로나19 확산 방지 및 기존 지자체 직접 방문에 따른 민원 불편 해결을 위해 오는 9월 5일부터 조상 땅 찾기 온라인 서비스를 제공한다고 밝혔다.

조상 땅 찾기란 불의의 사고 등 갑작스러운 사망으로 상속자로부터 상속받을 토지를 알 수 없을 때 후손들에게 조상이 소유한 토지의 소재를 알려주는 제도다.

조회대상은 2008년 1월 1일 이후 사망한 부모ㆍ배우자ㆍ자녀이며 신청자격은 기본증명서 및 가족관계 증명서로 사망자와 상속관계 확인이 가능한 1순위 상속인이다.

조상 땅 찾기 온라인 서비스는 정부 24, 국가공간정보포털, k-geo플랫폼 등에서 신청할 수 있다. 

속초시 관계자는“조상 땅 찾기 온라인 서비스 제공으로 관공서에 직접 방문하지 않고도 비대면으로 민원인들에게 시간ㆍ비용적인 편의를 제공하여 민원인의 재산권 보호 및 편의성 증가 효과가 기대된다.”라고 전했다.
