[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 경제적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 시민들의 주거 안정과 도시가스 조기 공급을 위해 도시가스 설치비 융자 대출 추천서를 발급한다고 밝혔다.

융자대상은 도시가스 공급 지역 또는 공급 예정지역 중 신규주택, 사회복지시설 도시가스 사용자로 보일러 및 내관 설치비 등을 지원한다.

지원한도는 주택 5백만 원, 사회복지시설 1천만 원이며 이자 연 1.5% 수준으로 1년 거치 2년 균등분할상환 또는 2년 거치 3년 균등분할상환 중 선택할 수 있다.

융자지원을 희망할 경우 단독·다중·다가구·연립·다세대주택 소유자 또는 LPG등 타연료에서 도시가스로 전환된 아파트 소유자, 도시가스 요금 경감 지침에서 정한 사회복지시설 대표자가 대출 추천 신청서 등 구비서류를 작성해 시청 일자리경제과 에너지자원팀으로 방문 접수하면 된다.

태백시는 자격여부 등을 검토한 후 추천서를 발급하고 신청자는 발급받은 추천서를 NH농협은행에 제출하면 도시가스 설치비 대출을 받을 수 있다.

태백시 관계자는 “도시가스 설치비를 저금리로 융자해 줌으로써 가스 배관망 설치 지역이 확대돼 연료비 절감이 기대된다”며 “올해 도시가스 3개소 사업구역을 지원할 계획으로 도시가스 공급 확대를 통한 에너지복지 실현에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 태백시는 지난 2020년 2월 강원도시가스(주)와 업무협약을 통해 도시가스 공급관시설 지원사업을 추진하고 있다.

사업기간은 2020년부터 2023년까지이며, 총사업비 75억 원(보조금 37억 원 포함)을 투입해 도시가스 공급관 14.5km를 매설할 계획이다.

태백시는 지난 2020년에는 도시가스공급관리소에서 서학사거리까지 공급관 2.2㎞를 매설, 2021년에는 서학사거리에서 부영아파트까지 공급관 2.6㎞를 매설 완료했다.

올해 하반기에는 사업비 21억 원을 투입해 서학골, 황지중학교, 대학길 주변을 대상으로 공급관 4.3㎞를 매설할 예정이다.
