[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시가 관내 중·고등학생에게 학과 선택 및 진로설계에 도움을 주고 경험과 지식을 공유해 줄 ‘2022년 하계 진로진학 꿈드림 멘토단’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

멘토단은 내 고장 중‧고등학교 출신으로 대학교, 대학원에 재학 중인 미래인재, 향토 장학생으로 구성돼 지역 중‧고교 후배들에게 진로 및 진학에 필요한 정보를 효과적으로 제공하는 길라잡이 역할을 담당하고 있다고 전했다.

1기∼6기까지 31명의 하계 멘토단은 고향 후배들에게 학습 노하우 및 자기 관리 방법 등 경험담을 소개하고 대학과 학과 소개, 교우 관계와 고민 상담 등 멘토링을 진행한다고 했다.

멘토 활동은 ▲ 오는 11일(월)에는 함태중학교, 황지고등학교 ▲ 오는 12일(화)에는 세연중학교, 태백중학교 ▲ 13일(수)에는 장성여고 ▲ 오는 18일(월)에는 상장중학교 ▲ 오는 19일(화)에는 철암중학교, 황지중학교 등 학생 총 1,422명을 대상으로 실시된다고 했다.

태백시 관계자는 “ ‘태백시 진로진학 꿈드림 멘토단’을 활용하여 관내 중‧고등학생들에게 진로진학에 필요한 다양한 정보를 제공해 지역 인재 육성과 교육 조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
