[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 제17회 1,2학년 전국 대학축구연맹전이 오는 7월 4일부터 7월 18일까지 15일간에 걸쳐 태백 종합경기장 외 6개 경기장에서 개최된다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 총 59개 팀 2,000여 명이 참가하여 백두대간기와 태백산기 2개 리그로 총 111경기를 치르게 되며, 경기진행은 조별예선을 통하여 상위 16강 경기부터 토너먼트 형식으로 진행된다고 했다.

개막경기는 오는 4일 오전 10시 30분부터 고원1구장 ∼ 3구장에서 펼쳐지며, 시축행사는 오전 10시 고원1구장에서 이상호 태백시장, 고재창 태백시의회 의장, 변석화 한국대학축구연맹회장, 권은동 강원도축구협회장, 류철호 태백시체육회장 등이 참석한 가운데 진행된다고 했다.

결승전은 백두대간기는 오는 17일, 태백배는 오는 18일 각각 오후 2시에 태백종합경기장에서 개최되며, 결승전 경기는 KBS N을 통하여 전국에 중계 방송될 예정이라고 전했다.

태백시 관계자는 “이번 대회가 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 각종 시설에 대한 사전 정비 등 관리는 물론 행정지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 말했다.
