[안종욱 기자= 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 올해 10월 1일 첫 시행 예정인 임업직불제와 관련하여, 임업직불금을 수령하기 위하여 오는 5월 말까지 임야대상 농업경영체(‘임업경영체’) 등록을 해야 한다고 밝혔다. 

임업직불제는 임가의 낮은 소득을 보전하고 산림의 공익기능을 확보하기 위하여 일정 자격을 갖춘 임업인에게 직불금을 지급하는 제도이며, 소규모임가 직불금(0.1~0.5ha), 면적직불금(0.1~30ha), 육림업직불금(3ha~30ha)으로 나뉜다고 했다. 

직불금 신청은 오는 6월부터 각 읍·면 행정복지센터에서 접수받을 예정이며, 지급대상은 지난 2019년 4월 1일부터 올해 9월 30일까지 임업경영체에 등록이 완료된 산지이고, WTO 협정에 따라 2022년 10월 1일 기준으로 해당기간 등록이 유효하지 않은 산지는 직불금 지급대상 산지에서 영구히 제외되므로, 반드시 해당 기간 내에 등록을 완료하여야 한다고 전했다.
