[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 배출가스 저감장치가 부착되지 않은 노후경유차에 대하여 미세먼지 및 질소산화물 등 대기오염물질 배출 저감을 위해 노후경유차 조기폐차 지원사업을 시행한다고 밝혔다.

금년도 지원대수는 646대이며, 지원대상은 속초시에 6개월 이상 등록된 배출가스 5등급 경유자동차 또는 2005년 이전 배출허용기준을 적용하여 제작된 도로용 3종 건설기계(덤프트럭, 콘크리트믹서트럭, 콘크리트펌프트럭)로 배출가스 저감장치를 부착하거나 저공해 엔진으로 개조한 사실이 없는 운행 가능한 차량이라고 했다.

지원액은 행정안전부에서 산정한 차량 기준가액을 근거로 연식, 중량, 배기량에 따라서 차등 지급되고, 3.5톤 미만 차량은 최대 300만원, 3.5톤 이상 7,500㏄를 초과하는 경우는 최대 3,000만원까지 지원하며, 저소득층의 경우에는 일반대상자에 비하여 10% 추가하여 상한액 범위 내에서 지원받을 수 있다고 했다.

신청기간은 예산 소진 시까지로, 신청인은 시청에 직접 방문 없이 ‘자동차 배출가스 등급제 사이트’ 에서 본인 인증 후 신청하거나 속초시청 환경과에 전화로 신청하면 된다고 전했다.
