지난해에 이어 찾아가는 문해교실 분야에 선정돼 양구군이 확보한 국비는 1350만 원이고, 지난해 양구군은 지원받은 국비로 정중앙 문해학당 운영을 비롯해 문해교육사 3급 과정(2기)과 찾아가는 디지털 문해교육, 온라인 문해 한마당 등을 개최했으며, 올해에도 확보한 국비로 사회·경제적 여건으로 교육 기회를 갖지 못한 비문해·저학력 성인에게 경로당, 마을회관 등을 방문해 문해교육 기회를 제공할 예정이라고 전했다.

특히 올해 1월 선발된 정중앙 문해교사 11명이 각 읍면의 정중앙 문해학당을 방문해 문자 해득과 생활 문해 등 다양한 교육을 실시할 계획이며, 정중앙 문해학당은 읍면 지역을 찾아가는 문해교실로, 현재 12개 학급이 운영되고 있으며, 75명의 수강생이 교육에 참여하고 있다고 했다.
