[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10일 원주시는 교육부와 국가평생교육진흥원이 주관한‘2022년 지역 평생교육 활성화 지원사업’공모에 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 

교육부‘2022년 지역 평생교육 활성화 지원사업’은 지역 평생학습 체제 고도화로 전 생애에 걸친 국민 개개인의 삶의 질 향상과 지역사회 상생 발전을 도모하기 위한 사업이라고 했다.

사업기간은 이달부터 연말까지이며, 확보된 국비 2천만 원을 활용하여 군부대 평생교육, 대학연계 평생교육, 문해교육사 3급 양성과정, 평생교육 전문인력 역량 강화, 평생학습동아리 재능 기부 봉사단, 정주기반 거점 평생학습 지원체제 구축을 위한 신규 프로그램 개발 및 운영 등을 추진할 예정이라고 했다. 

평생교육원은 “관내 평생교육 협력 네트워크 구축을 통해 다양한 학습 기반을 마련하고, 시민들에게 양질의 프로그램을 제공하여 「평생학습도시 원주」라는 브랜드를 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
