[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 오랫동안 방치되어 주거환경을 저해하고 안전사고 우려가 있는 등 공익상 유해한 빈집에 대하여 철거비를 지원해 주는‘2022년 빈집정비 지원사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 

2022년 빈집정비 사업 규모는 약 15개 빈집 60백만원으로, 소유자가  자진 철거하고자 하는 경우에는 철거비를 최대 400만원까지 지원하며, 소유자는 최소 자부담 20%가 필요하다고 했다.

속초시는 1년 이상 방치된 노후 건축물 중 안전사고 발생우려가 있거나, 범죄 및 화재예방 조치가 필요한 빈집을 정비대상으로 우선 선정하여 철거비를 지원할 계획이라고 전했다. 

속초시 관계자는“빈집정비 사업은 쾌적한 주거환경 조성과 안전한 우리 동네 만들기 일환으로 추진되는 사업인 만큼, 오랫동안 방치된 빈집 소유자가 적극적으로 정비사업에 참여해 주기를 희망한다.”라고 밝혔다.
