지원대상은 1년 이상 거주 또는 사용하지 않아 재해발생과 청소년 비행 등 범죄우려가 있고 폐허로 방치돼 도시미관을 저해하는 주택이며, 지원사업을 신청하고자 하는 사람은 빈집정비지원사업 신청서와 소유자임을 증명할 수 있는 서류를 지참하여 태백시 건축지적과로 방문 접수하면 된다고 했다.

태백시는 사업대상자 확정 절차를 거쳐 사업 착수에 들어갈 계획이다.김태형 건축지적과장은 “관내 방치된 빈집정비를 통해 쾌적한 생활환경 제공과 범죄예방은 물론 아름다운 태백시 이미지 제고에 크게 기여할 것”이라고 말했다.
