[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 15일, 홍천군농업기술센터는 더이음마당에서 ‘기후변화와 탄소중립’이라는 주제로 홍천농업인대학 교육을 진행한다고 밝혔다. 

대상은 홍천농업인대학 과정생 '로컬푸드과, 복숭아과, 사과과' 70명이며, 강사는 국립식량과학원 작물재배생리과 서명철 농업연구관이며 교육내용은 홍천군 농민들이 탄소중립시대를 어떻게 준비를 해야 하는지에 대한 교육이라고 했다.

탄소중립은 지구온난화의 원인이 되는 이산화탄소 순 배출량을 0으로하여 대기 중 탄소 농도가 증가하지 않도록 하는 개념으로, 이번 교육을 통해 농업분야의 탄소배출량을 감축 할 수 있는 저탄소 농법을 소개하며, 이 교육을 통해 기후변화 위기 속에 홍천군 농업인들이 기후변화와 탄소중립에 대한 공감대가 형성 될 것으로 보인다고 했다.

박승영 홍천군농업기술센터 소장은 “농업·농촌의 기후변화에 대응하여 홍천군의 안정적인 먹거리 공급, 농촌의 회복탄력성 유지, 농촌의 생태적 가치를 키우는 일은 지속되어야 한다.”고 전하였다.
