[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 10일 김상회 수원특례시발전연구소장(전 청와대 행정관)은 지난 2월 9일 수원특례시발전연구소 사무실에서 제3차 정기 세미나를 열고 ‘코로나19로 인한 교육격차 실태와 과제’를 주제로 논의 했다고 밝혔다.

 

김상회 수원특례시발전연구소장은 “코로나로 심해지는 교육격차 해소을 위한 지자체의 역할을 생각해봐야한다”면서 “지자체가 단순 예산집행자를 넘어 보다 주체적이고 능동적인 접근이 필요하다”고 말했다.

 

김 소장은 이어 “학교 내 교육뿐만 아니라 학교 밖 청소년도 돌보아야 한다”며 이날 회의에서 나온 예산재구성의 필요성에도 공감했다.

 

이날 회의에서 발제를 맡은 임정희 교육학 박사는 “특히 영유아의 경험학습기회가 박탈되고 있고 가정환경(맞벌이 유무)에 따라 격차가 커지기도 한다”면서도 “철학을 바탕으로 교육의 목적을 명확히 하면 길이보일 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

 

발제 후 토론에서 김봉수 모아재 이사장은 “돌봄이라는 키워드가 뜨거운 감자가 되고 있다”며 “수원특례시 출범에 맞춰 ‘수원특례시지원교육청’이 필요하다”고 말했다. 

 

김 이사장은 또한 “현재의 수원시 교육은 예산에서부터 기울어진 운동장”이라며 “가정, 마을, 학교의 3축으로 이루어지는 교육에서 가정, 마을이 무너지고 학교에 너무 편중되고 있다”고 꼬집었다.
