[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 시민의 미디어 콘텐츠 접근성을 높이고 미디어 문화 향유 기회를 제공하기 위해 옥정호수도서관 내 미디어창작실을 조성하고 문을 열었다고 밝혔다.

양주시는 지난해 문화체육관광부 스마트 K-도서관 조성 공모사업에 선정돼 확보한 국비 등 총 5천만원의 사업비를 들여 옥정호수도서관 지하1층에 미디어창작실을 조성했으며, 미디어창작실에는 영상 콘텐츠 촬영을 위한 카메라, 조명, 프롬프터, 크로마키 등이 설치된 방음 촬영실과 음향장비, 편집 프로그램 등이 설치된 편집공간이 마련돼 있다고 했다.

양주시는 비대면 디지털 전환기를 맞아 옥정호수도서관을 지역 내 미디어 콘텐츠 제작 서비스 환경 제공하는 지식문화콘텐츠 거점으로 운영, 1인 미디어 콘텐츠, 도서관 온라인 문화강좌, 시민 미디어 콘텐츠 교육 등 다양한 교육 프로그램 운영과 함께 시민의 미디어 창작 역량을 증진시킬 수 있는 공간으로 활용할 계획이라고 전했다.

또한 향후 지역자원과의 연계 방안을 모색하고 시민들의 다양한 의견을 청취해 오는 4월 중 미디어창작실을 활용한 도서관 문화 프로그램을 운영할 예정이고, 기타 자세한 사항은 양주시 평생교육진흥원 중앙도서관팀으로 문의하면 안내받을 수 있다고 했다.
