[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 7월 31일과 8월 21일 2회에 걸쳐 양주시는 옥정호수도서관 3층 예술극장에서 저자 초청 테마 특강 ‘작가와의 만남, 평등더하기(feat.차별빼기)’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 특강은 양성평등 사회를 살아가는 시민들의 성인지 감수성 향상을 돕고 차별 없는 모두가 평등한 지역사회 구현을 위한 공공도서관의 역할을 적극적으로 수행하고자 마련했다고 전했다.

7월 31일 열리는 1차 강연에는 ‘똑똑똑! 핀란드 육아’의 저자 심재원 작가를 초청해 핀란드 부모의 양육법을 주제로 작가가 직접 체험한 양육 선진국 핀란드의 자녀 양육법과 아빠의 육아참여에 대한 경험과 방법을 공유하는 시간을 갖는다고 했다.

이어 8월 21일 2차 강연에는 ‘차별의 보이지 않는 손’이라는 주제로 영화 ‘소수의견’ 원작자인 손아람 작가를 초빙해 우리도 모르게 퍼져있는 성별 고정관념과 편견, 보이지 않는 차별에 대해 이야기하며 평등에 대한 새로운 시각과 인식을 가질 수 있는 기회를 제공한다고 했다.

수강 신청은 옥정호수도서관 홈페이지에서 회차별 30명에 한해 선착순 모집하며 수강료는 무료이고, 단 코로나19 확진자 발생 추이에 따라 사회적 거리두기 4단계 연장 시 강의 일정은 조정될 수 있다고 했다.

양주시 관계자는 “이번 강연은 시민 평등 의식 함양과 지역사회 내 차별 없는 평등 문화 확산시키는 촉매제가 될 것”이라며 “작가와의 만남을 통해 가정 내 건전하고 균형적인 육아문화를 배우고 생활 속 깊이 스며든 차별 문제에 고민하는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
