[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군 고혈압·당뇨병 등록교육센터가 발표한 논문이 국내학술지인 ‘보건교육건강증진학회지’ 최근호에 게재됐다고 밝혔다. 

‘유튜브를 통한 비대면 자가 교육 프로그램의 효과성’이란 주제의 논문은 김춘배 홍천군 고혈압·당뇨병 등록교육센터장과 팀원들이 참여해 작성, 발표했고, 유튜브 채널에 대한 효과 평가를 거쳐 논문까지 발표한 곳은 전국 19개 고혈압·당뇨병 등록교육센터 중 홍천군이 유일하다고 했다.

센터는 세계적인 코로나19 팬데믹 상황에서 대면 교육 참여가 어려워진 점을 감안, 2020년 4월 만성질환인 고혈압·당뇨병에 대한 올바른 정보를 제공하기 위한 유튜브 채널 '혈관이 알고 싶다!'를 개설해 비대면 교육을 진행하고 있으며, 유튜브 채널에는 현재 3시간에 달하는 총 25편의 고혈압 관련 영상이 게시되어 있다고 전했다.

비대면 교육은 고혈압·당뇨병 관련 영상교육 콘텐츠를 바탕으로 질환의 합병증, 요리교실, 경로당 교육, 캠페인 홍보 등 센터의 교육활동 모습을 담은 교육 자료와 건강 물품을 제공해 1대1 맞춤 교육 및 상담으로 진행하고 있으며, 그 결과 농촌지역의 지리적 한계성을 뛰어 넘어 그 자체적인 유용성이나 전국 공공보건기관에서의 활용성 측면에서 큰 의의를 남기고 있다고 전했다.

특히 참가자 중 100%가 유튜브 비대면 자가 교육 프로그램에 만족했으며, 99.5%는 콘텐츠가 많은 도움이 됐다고 답했다고 했다.

원은숙 홍천군 보건소장은 “유튜브 비대면 자가 관리 교육이 지역 주민들의 건강과 여가의 패러다임 변화를 주도할 뿐 아니라 군민 안전에 지지대 역할을 하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 더욱 다양한 프로그램을 개발해 건강한 홍천을 만드는데 주력하겠다”고 말했다.
