[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 6일 포천시는 여성친화도시 시민참여단 역량강화를 위해 ‘여성친화도시, 지역을 디자인하다’라는 주제로 비대면 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

강의는 한국양성평등교육진흥원 전문강사를 초청해 여성친화도시에 대한 전반적인 이해와 시민참여단의 역할에 대한 교육으로 진행됐다고 전했다.

이날 참석한 시민참여단은 “포천시가 좀 더 여성과 사회적 약자가 살기 좋은 도시, 성인지 감수성이 높은 도시, 안전한 도시가 될 수 있도록 시민참여단으로서 역할에 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.

포천시 관계자는 “여성친화도시 조성에는 시민참여단의 역할이 중요하다.”라며 “시민참여단이 시민의 눈과 목소리가 되어 정책 추진에 큰 역할을 하길 바란다.”라고 전했다.

한편, 여성친화도시 시민참여단은 지난 9월 제1기 발대식을 시작으로 총 30명이 활동하고 있으며, 일상생활 속에서 느꼈던 성별 불균형 요소와 생활불편 사항에 대해 모니터링하고 시민 홍보 및 의견 수렴을 하는 등 여성친화도시 조성에 중추적 역할을 수행하고 있다고 밝혔다.
