홍천복합문화센터 건립 사업의 일환으로 연봉리 388-1번지 일원 홍천읍 생활체육공원 인근에 지역민의 영화문화 향유권을 확대하기 위해 2개의 상영관을 갖춘 170석 규모의 작은영화관 건립을 추진하고 최근 시공사가 선정됨에 따라 토목공사를 시작으로 오는 2022년 12월 말 준공과 동시에 개관을 목표로 하고 있다고 했다.
