박성수 송파구청장의 지명을 받아 참여하게 된 한왕기 평창군수는 ‘아프간 여성들의 손을 잡아주세요’라는 손글씨로 적은 메시지를 전하며 아프간 여성들의 안전과 인권 보호를 위한 관심과 지지를 촉구했다고 전했다.

한왕기 군수는 “아프간 여성들의 생명권과 기본권이 큰 위협을 받고 있는 상황으로 아프간 여성들이 존중받는 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 우리 모두가 관심을 가져야 한다.”라고 말했다.
