[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 14일 경기도의회 농정해양위원회 김경호 의원이 대표발의한 「경기도 농어업유산 보전 및 관리에 관한 조례안」이 농정해양위원회 심의에서 통과됐다고 밝혔다.

조례안에는 경기도지사가 지정한 농어업유산을 보전 및 관리하기 위한 지원계획의 수립 및 지원사업에 관한 내용과 공정하고 합리적인 농어업유산 지정·변경·취소 등 의사결정을 위한 위원회의 설치·운영, 효율적인 농어업유산 관리를 위한 관리대장의 작성·보관 등의 내용이 담겨 있다고 했다.

김경호 의원은 “농어업의 공익적 가치는 식량의 안정적 공급 이외에 농어촌사회의 고유한 전통과 문화를 보전하는 기능이 있기 때문에 빠르게 변화하는 사회 속에서 소실되고 변모되는 농어업유산을 보전하고 관리하는 것은 매우 중요한 일”이라고 말하며 조례 제정의 필요성을 강조했다.

조례가 시행되면, 체계적인 농어업유산 보전 및 관리를 통해 농어업유산의 우수성을 홍보·계승하며 농어업유산을 통한 공동체 회복과 농어촌 관광 확대를 통한 지역경제 활성화가 가능할 것으로 전망된다고 했다.

한편, 이날 통과된 조례안은 오는 12월 17일 경기도의회 제356회 정례회 제5차 본회의에서 의결될 예정이라고 전했다.
