더불어 사는 글로벌 의정부라는 의미를 담은'W-클라쓰'는 시민들에게 세계시민교육의 필요성을 알리고 그에 필요한 전문적 지식과 안목을 함양시키기 위해, 의정부시평생학습원 및 호원⋅송산 평생학습센터에서 각각 진행되며, 주요 교육 내용은 세계시민교육의 정의와 필요성, 건강과 복지, 지속가능한 청정에너지, 불평등 해소로 선정하였으며 각 분야별 저명한 강사진의 특강이 진행된다고 했다.

송원찬 평생학습원장은“시민들이 『의정부 세계시민교육 W-클라쓰』를 통해 지구 공동체의 문제를 공유하고, 공통의 비전과 이해를 지닌 세계시민으로 성장하기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
